#7 The Dysfunctional Earth Male Energy Field

The constructive Earth Male Energy Field in men and women represents physical and mental action (See #3). They are the leader and agent for the wellbeing of family, community, and defender of a peaceful world.

In contrast to that is the Dysfunctional Earth Male, who focuses on physical, emotional, mental, and spiritual ownership. They value self-reward, self-interest, wealth, and power. People with strong attachment to this field are generally racist and misogynist and enjoy the pleasure of dominating others. He is the alpha male who loves technology and might love his children, but cares little for the offspring of others, unless they are useful to him as fodder for wars that he creates to increase his power through oil or land.

And under those circumstances, not all boys want to grow to be a man. John was forty when he came for a healing session. He had been a happy gentle child. As he grew to puberty and adulthood his innocence and softness began to get in the way of male social conditioning. After bouts of depression, anxiety the demands of school, and the requirements of ‘manhood’ conditioning he became an unhappy teenager; he could not harden up to meet the expectations of his teachers and peers. He then became suicidal: I saw his Earth Male field as a terrified teenager walking a tightrope while hanging over a cliff.

He was later diagnosed as Schizophrenic.

Schizophrenia in my experience, is a problem of confusion of self-identity. I saw this in John and have seen in other men starting at puberty: when a child can’t meet the fixed societal expectations in severe masculine environments. Denial of their gentle energy fields is also one of the main contributing factors leading to suicide and drug addiction.

This does not mean they are gay or trans. It means they cannot, and (unconsciously) do not want to fit into the limited masculine stereotype expected of them.

This is not a lack of intelligence or skill that fails men like John but the stigma that drifts through society about expectation to become one dimensional human being, something fabricated from male constructs to stay at the top and control the male definition of success.

Where instead of fulfilling their potential as whole human beings, they are restricted to ‘male approved’ aspects only. This prevents many men (and women) from developing the energy fields they identify with more which hold mercy, empathy, and compassion. With loss of these vital human forces, it can lead a person to sociopathy, psychopathy, and malignant narcissism: each of which is known in psychotherapy to be the personality types of many company CEOs.

Like Cronos and Zeus, whose main fear is losing power to the son (symbolically, the #2 Spiritual Male Energy Field). Like a male lion he will devour the cub of his future mate to control her and destroy whoever gets in his way. It is a space which no matter the culture, or race, is a system which favours the few.

We see this playing out in domestic violence with the perpetrators imposing their physical, emotional, mental and spiritual will. Like the traditional husband who demands submission and obedience from his Tradwife and children.  

On a global scale we see Donald Trump and Elon Musk as the main actors. On the periphery Vladimer Putin, Benjamin Netanyahu, Xi Jinping and others all vying for power over whole populations.

But it is a slippery slope at the top of a dysfunctional energy structure. Like a watching a bad TV series, the bulk of humanity is absorbed by the theatre, obliviously ignorant of life and the rug being pulled out from under them. Because the main players are not working for the people, but for their own selfish interests.

Personally, it is the man of the house who wins. Globally, less than 1% will receive their reward. Even then, for most it will not end well, as there is room for only one master at the top.

As we see with illustration 2, all other fields are relegated to inferior roles. Overtime we have seen communism, socialism, and capitalism all of which morphed into elitist hierarchies where dysfunction and corruption dominate the system.

Ultimately, it does not matter whether it is Left or Right political ideology because the winner is the male hierarchal structure. And like a snake shedding old skin, a new ‘ism appears to replace the old, and after the first rejoicing the system slides back to the normal injustice of male dominance served on a different platter.

Humanity remains fixated on the same paradigm where the baton is passed-on to charismatic slick marketers who entice with the latest Alpha Male ideas and gadgets. Few of which solve three of the world’s most pressing problems which is receiving a living wage for work well done, while retaining one’s mental health and sustaining a living breathing planet.

Skirting above such mundane problems are the less than 1% who grow wealthier no matter how many changes are made to the surface of this flawed construct: the same mindset that travelled from Europe to the new world and destroyed Indigenous life and the wisdom inherent in female and Indigenous knowledge: This is the same mindset that discovered’ then destroyed Indigenous people in the Americas, Africa, Asia and the Pacific, those same personalities who now plan to colonise space.

It is of little comfort to know that as we go forward with the same mindset that is killing the living earth around us, we can rely on a rocket and ‘technoism’ to take us to Mars. You will probably understand it is only the wealthy who can afford to live on such a desolate place, after killing off any life form on this planet, will destroy any life they may find there.  

Meanwhile, the rest of us while caring for nature, the wellbeing of animals the flora and fauna, plus tending to those we love while fighting a plethora of mental health problems, will remain here trying to breathe in a poisoned dying biosphere.

As Marilyn Waring noted in Counting for Nothing, economist continue to ignore the value of nature and women’s work. Even breast milk, never mind that its life-giving force has nourished humanity since the beginning of time. Economists could not give human breast milk a value until it had a sale price. Similarly, a woman at home, whether looking after one or four children, was considered to be “at leisure’ for the same reason, her time was not waged.

But forgive me, perhaps I am being too dismal because Life, like a dormant seed concealed in an ancient Egyptian tomb, does not die; it lives on in us and like a forgotten kernel it will bloom when the conditions are right and the ground fertile.

Like John, fertility needs a soft womb, a safe place to thrive, we need more than the Dysfunctional Earth Male Energy Field and its limited life-force; we need the Earth Female with its caring nature to love and gently nourish us.

But can a Dysfunctional Earth Female give us that?
