A Case for Julian Assange

So Where The Bleep Are You?  We Ask The Australian Government

"So Where The Bloody Hell Are You?" was an A$180 million advertising campaign...…inviting visitors to Australia. It includes a young boy on the beach saying, "We've got the sharks out of the pool," and partygoers watching fireworks on the Sydney harbor, who say "We've turned on the lights". Then ends with bikini-clad model Lara Bingle at Fingal Bay stepping out of the ocean and asking, "So where the bloody hell are you?"   M&C Saatchi

We are now asking the Australian Government and YOU “Where the bleep are you?" to prevent the extradition of Julian Assange by the British Government to the USA to face espionage charges…

UK Home Secretary Priti Patel signed an order that Assange faces espionage charges...

There is likely to be months of legal wrangling: Jennifer Robinson, Assange’s legal counsel, said an appeal would be brought and that the case could be taken to the European Court of Human Rights in Strasbourg. “This is not the end of the road, and we will use every appeal mechanism available to us to prevent this extradition,” she said.

Wikileaks asserts that Assange has “committed no crime and is not a criminal,” adding that he is a “journalist and a publisher” who “is being punished for doing his job.”

This is a dark day for Press freedom and British democracy. Anyone who cares about freedom of expression should be deeply ashamed,” Wikileaks added.

Additionally, it is clear that the case against Assange has fallen apart, as a Key Witness says he lied to get Immunity: Find out more by clicking on the following link for Why this case should be dropped.

Millions of global citizens who believe in the freedom of speech (similar in theory to Human Rights in New Zealand based on the Nuremberg Code of Ethics, ask the Australian government ‘Where the Bleep are You?’ in bringing Julian Assange home.

Julian Assange's crime was to publish information given to him by a whistleblower about the hidden abuse of power by governmental agencies … why was this a problem, this is what journalists do, isn't it?

The trouble was that it exposed the misuse of power through classified documents about USA corruption, war crimes, and fraud, and those in power wanted to discourage other journalists and whistleblowers in the future.

Many of us cry about the state of the world, war, and suffering, and yet when corruption is exposed little is done to rectify the situation: Recently, with tears in his eyes, Australian Prime Minister Albanese lamented the state of the aboriginal and Torres Straight islanders’, saying “If not now, when?”

Indeed, Prime Minister, millions of global citizens who believe in the freedom of speech based on the Nuremberg Code of Ethics, now ask you, the Australian government ‘Where the bleep are You?’ in the case of Julian Assange.

We ask ‘If not now when?’ is the Australian Government going to support Julian Assange to prevent his extradition to the United States of America where he would face brutal incarceration, possible torture, and uncertainty, plus personal misery that will seriously affect his health?

If you agree Julian Assange should be free, contact Prime Minister Albanese HERE and ask... If not now, when?!

Does Julian Assange as an Australian citizen, have democratic Human Rights to free speech?

John Pilger saw Julian in Belmarsh Prison not long ago, and says,

We talked about books and the oppressive idiocy of the prison: the happy-clappy slogans on the walls, the petty punishments; they still won’t let him use the gym. He must exercise alone in a cage-like area where there is a sign that warns about keeping off the grass. But there is no grass. We laughed; for a brief moment, some things didn’t seem too bad.

The laughter is a shield, of course. When the prison guards began to jangle their keys, as they like to do, indicating our time was up, he fell quiet. As I left the room he held his fist high and clenched as he always does. He is the embodiment of courage.

Those who are the antithesis of Julian: in whom courage is unheard of, along with principle and honor, stand between him and freedom. I am not referring to the Mafia regime in Washington whose pursuit of a good man is meant as a warning to us all, but rather to those who still claim to run a just democracy in Australia.

Anthony Albanese was mouthing his favorite platitude, “enough is enough,” long before he was elected prime minister of Australia last year. He gave many of us precious hope, including Julian’s family”… find out more at countercurrents.org

Apart from the Australian Government's inaction on Free Speech, there are simple humanitarian grounds.

  • Do you want to live in a country that punishes those who speak their truth based on evidence?
  • Do you want to live in a country that cruelly punishes people for standing for justice?
  • Would you like the treatment that has been handed out to Julian Assage to be done to your child, husband, wife, or relative for speaking freely?
  • What you do today matters not only for Julian Assange at the moment but for the legacy you leave your children and grandchildren.

So, "Where the bleep are you?”

Will you stand and support this issue?
Speak up, stand up for freedom of speech for Julian Assange: be a voice for freedom for generations to come.

Thank you!
